THERE BUT FOR THE GRACE OF GOD GO I

 The other day I stumbled upon this channel on You Tube, The invisiblepeopletv’s Channel. It deals with publicizing the plight of the homeless. Most of these people are not bums, they are middle class people like you and me who have families. Many of the homeless are children.  Most have had an unfortunate string of bad luck that resulted in their unfotunate situation.

 The other day in my day job as Assistive Technology Coordinator, I happened to do an intake on a homeless woman in nearby Redwood City. She is 56 years old and currently lives in a Homeless Shelter there. She told me her story about how it happened, very slowly over a period of months and years. Her husband had cancer. She needed to care for him. He died and then she lost their home. She and her two boys lived with relatives in a rented house for about six months until it burned down. Then they lived with various other relatives or friends for a few months here and there until eventually they ended up homeless. (a Longer Story Here) She now needs an electric wheelchair to get around as she has a bad knee. It will be operated on soon, but then she will need many months for recovery.  WHERE will she go then? 

She tries to get jobs, but it is hard to get around on public buses in a wheelchair. One job interview she told me about was in a town nearby that required her to take 4 buses to get there and hours of time!  She is on welfare.  $381/month. They don’t give you much cash – maybe $40/month for incidentals like toiletries and bus fare.  She has to maintain a cell phone also for communication in order to even think about getting a job. The cost of that comes out of the small amount of cash as well. Once she had a decent job in the mutual funds biz. Now they say she is “over qualified” if she just wants any entry-level or clerk-type job in the biz.

I could have videoed her story just like you see on You Tube. I wish I had thought of doing that. After listening to a few stories like hers you realize that homelessness could happen to anyone. And once it happens it is very hard to dig your way out of it. 

There is some hope out there. We saw a news clip last week on NBC News I think, about a motivational speaker who decided to take on a group of homeless people. He coached them and built up their self-esteem and then he went to employers to encourage them to hire these people.  Some are now employed and no longer homeless as a result. There needs to be more people capable and willing to do that. It is even more important in this economy.

In seeing this need, I wonder how many people might be retired and in need of getting involved in something like what the motivational speaker has done. It doesn’t take much – it is a matter of intention and willingness to take steps to find out what one can do. On this Blog, the very minimum we can do is extend prayer for the well-being of our fellow humans who are struggling to survive. We can also consider clearing out closets and taking clothes and other things needed by homeless shelters where someone in need of clothing or other articles can have a helping hand in that regard. We can volunteer at soup kitchens, or at homeless shelters. We can find out what is needed and see what we can do to give an assist. We have to all remember, there but for the grace of God, go we. And there WITH the grace of God, we can help!

Recently my partner and I began a blog about our Journey to investigate eating raw food. It’s called Journey2Raw. The official link is: http://2raw.wordpress.com/  In my healing of CLL, which dates back about eight to ten years ago, I managed to find a way to heal that did not include any special diet.  My luck was to find out that a root canal gone bad may have been infusing my body with toxins which in turn caused me to have cancer – CLL. I also imbibed Alkamine Coral Calcium from Kingsway

I did not give up much of anything.  I just kept up my normal lifestyle which did not include much raw food or greens. I also drank and ate a lot of junky snack foods, if you can call them that.  Over a period of a year or two I gradually regained my health. I did not require a BMT (bone marrow transplant) or chemo or radiation or anything AMA style.

Now that I am past that, I have other health concerns that can best be addressed by eating a healthier diet. Many people are currently concerned that Senator John McCain wants to do away with our right to the Dietary Supplements.  I have been a long time user of supplements but if this right were taken away as he wants to do, I would most likely feel OK and would simply switch to eating more and more raw foods!  But I would of course not want any of our rights to supplements to be taken away.  Check this out!  The Dietary Supplement Health & Education Act

Robert Monroe & The Path of Direct Knowing

After watching 90 minutes of Robert Monroe describe his own self-discovered theory of why we are here on You Tube, I woke up this morning with the thought of creating a church called “The Church of Direct Knowing.” I have always felt that we should all have the ability and the right to contact God and the Higher Dimensions directly and to be able to discover Truth for ourselves. Robert Monroe has evidently developed and built a super highway for assisting in that process. What he describes in his 1990 “Wednesdays with Robert Monroe” videos is amazing and it reconfirms and provides even greater detail to what many people know as the Perennial Philosophy. I figured that at this time there should be many more people interested in Out of Body Experiences. Many people are trying to do it, but much of it is haphazard and the results hit and miss. Many people are scared when it does happen and then back off. But the Monroe methodology is consistent and has been tested by thousands of people. His program can provide a consistent doorway into higher realms which the individual can use as a launch pad for inner journeys to explore for answers to any questions they may have. I was personally astounded at what Robert Monroe detailed as to why we come to planet Earth and what it is going to take to finally leave here.

His program is available in a week long residential program costing thousands of dollars or as a multi-part CD set which can be purchased and used individually for $500. Many people enjoy the week long residential group session as it allows them to meet other people from all walks of life and to compare notes each day after the sessions are complete. Some return to do more advanced work.

What I like about what Robert Monroe has personally achieved is that he started with no pre-conceived religious ideas. He wasn’t interested in what religions taught. What he has discovered will amaze you, possibly even blow your mind; and it seems to align with The Perennial Philosophy in many ways. I consider Robert Monroe to be a guru and a seer in his own right. He is gone now, but his high-tech methodology lives on. It is a gift to our culture where everything is moving at break neck speed. There is a story about two aged Tibetan monks who come to the Monroe Institute for the weeklong Gateway experience. One is 90 years old and the other, his understudy, is 70 years old. They are very formally dressed and are wearing white shirts and ties. After a few days, they emerge from there meditation cubicles looking a bit disheveled. The moderator asks what has happened. Their answer was, “We Tibetans practice for many years, even a lifetime to achieve higher levels of mind, but you clever Americans have figured out a way to do it in just a few days!” I think that pretty well sums it up! Weather Modification Experiments

I was published again this past August in Nature’s Pathways Magazine (page 14). The article is titled, Power Prayer and How It Works. I actually wrote this article many years ago. In re-reading it I became focused on a story about “Weather Modification Experiments.” Here is a summary version of what I wrote:

When my two boys were young they were avid soccer players. I used to spend a lot of time going to their practices and games. Living around Chicago, there were many times when bad weather threatened this happy activity. One time as I was driving to a game in a distant suburb of Chicago, I couldn’t help but notice the menacing dark clouds gathering over the area of the soccer field. There was that smell of ozone in the air associated with lightening. I felt myself start to ‘buy into’ this dark scenario and imagining that the game might be cancelled due to the bad weather. But then I suddenly caught myself and snapped out of it. I had the thought that ‘things could be different.’

I decided that I would try a ‘weather modification experiment;’ I would conduct a ‘power prayer’ requesting better weather for the game. I then let it go out of my mind and by the time I arrived at the field the dark clouds had already begun to part. Within a half an hour there was a circle of blue sky up above and then sunshine for miles around with the soccer field located right in the center! This type of scenario played itself out many times over the years my boys were growing up.

When it comes to this type of activity many people become upset that weather might be modified. They would argue that no single person could be entrusted to this, if indeed it could actually be accomplished. The way I see it, if I am the only person using my thought to influence the weather, then I am the one to do it! Most people exclude themselves and therefore have no power or influence.

I feel I should give another example, more recent. Over the past five days the local weather forecasters in the San Francisco Bay area have been telling us to brace for an extremely hot heat wave. This prognosticating started on a Thursday and was relentless throughout the weekend. As I generally hate very hot weather, I started to think that it might be a good time to conduct another ‘weather modification experiment!’ I discussed this with my partner who is also familiar with the concept. You could call it a ‘Power Prayer.’ What we do is to respectfully ask the Spirit of the Weather if we might have more moderate temperatures in place of the forecasted extremely hot heat wave. We also ask that this request be ‘for the highest good of all concerned.’ That way the request gets processed by Higher Mind which removes any possibility for a negative unforseen outcome.

I am writing this on Monday evening. I walked outside a little while ago and it was definitely cold! The heat wave was supposed to have started on Sunday evening and rolled into Monday and Tuesday, but the temperatures Sunday night were moderate and even cold as the famous Bay Area Fog suddenly appeared as if from nowhere. And late this afternoon as I was driving north to Brisbane I noticed the fog was once again moving in to keep us cool. And indeed it has been warm today but not as hot as they predicted. Earlier on they had stated that it would be just as hot on the coastline as elsewhere. This has definitely not come to pass.

If you live in the Bay Area you know that what I am saying here is all true. Of course if you live east of the Bay Area you will be closer to the desert and would at all times experience higher temperatures.

I tell this story so that you can start to believe that you too might have some power over events predicted. You don’t have to watch the boob toob and believe everything they tell you. Take your power back, but do it with “the highest good of all” as your over riding concern and you will start to provide many blessings for man and nature.

The Bill Henderson Cancer Protocol Survey

I recently received an email from one of my heroes, Mr. Bill Henderson, who is an “alternative cancer” researcher and health coach. He is the author of Author of Cancer-Free-Your Guide to Gentle, Non-Toxic Healing. He hosts a regular podcast radio show and also publishes a free on-line newsletter. He recently sent me an email which provided a summary of a survey of his work and the results. This spurred me to write a response to him. I will now share it with you also.

Bill – While I did not participate in your survey and did not know about you when I had my CLL cancer back in 2000, I wholeheartedly agree with your insights about Root Canals and Cavitations being one of the primary causes of cancer. I am a living example! I was was diagnosed with CLL back in the year 2000. After a very brief experimentation with conventional chemo and then also with a number of alternative approaches, I finally came across George Meinig’s book, Root Canal Cover-Up. I thank my brother for this. After having my single three year old root canal removed and also taking coral calcium, I very rapidly got better and better. Over the course of the next two years my blood tests slowly returned to normal levels. Amazing!

More recently I have posted this information on my blog site and have begun a simple website to let people know about this idea. And I always refer people to Bill Henderson and tell them about George Meinig’s book. I have also come across a few (very few) others brave enough to clean up their mouth and who also were able to beat CLL! Keep up the good work, Bill!

I see the problem like this: In our society we act as though the various parts of our body are not connected. It’s a shame that dentists and doctors do not communicate. There are so many people who would not have to suffer and die if they would be brave enough to clean up the hidden infections in their mouth! Ultimately we need to get all the various specialty medical professions talking to each other and then to get the medical insurance industry to see dentistry as part of medicine and to cover dental procedures too. It would certainly save a lot of money and lives and thus reduce the overall cost of health insurance as well! Our body is an integrated system!

CLL Defeated

I have had a few skeptics write to me on my blog asking for proof of my CLL healing. While I did not keep very good notes during my road to health, yesterday I discovered another man who did. It’s worth checking out!

This man from Australia posted a link to his new website which details his own road to a cure for CLL! Awesome! His name is Hessel Baartse. His experience confirms my theory that the health of the teeth is the single most important factor in the health of many chronic diseases, especially CLL! I read the entire site in one sitting! Business Miracle

Business Miracle – 6/03/2009

Prayer work can often take unusual twists and turns. In my day job I work with people with disabilities. As an AT Advocate in the state of California, I have the opportunity to assist people from all walks of life to find technical solutions to their disabilities. This can be anything from a recycled wheelchair or elevator to a computer interface device or software, etc.

One day a few months ago, I got a call from a desperate man who was seeking help. It took a couple of tries to make the connection. When I finally met him, I was astounded! He ran a high tech prototype development company. I sat through a lengthy presentation during which he described numerous projects which he had worked on or was hoping to work on, but it was obvious that he was stymied due to his condition, which involved a traumatic brain injury (TBI).

Most of the work he had been involved with over the past 30 years had been for various government agencies. Most all of it was ‘top secret.’ He had been to Iraq working on ways to remove mines from the harbors there. In 2004 he had been to Darfur working on methods to find and diffuse land mines. It was in Darfur that he had been struck by a nearby explosion that caused him to have a TBI. A few months later he suffered a fall from a stool at a local diner restaurant which only compounded the injury.

The combination of these two injuries led to a stroke sometime later, and it happened while he was on his way to sign an agreement with a venture capitalist to obtain money for a medical product he had developed. The timing could not have been worse. He lost his ability to speak. His wife divorced him. He lost business. In his own words, he was a “blubbering idiot,” unable to communicate. The next few years were spent in rehab. He attended special re-training classes in L.A. as well as ones conducted by the local veteran’s hospital. He worked hard, and today he can speak fairly well, but he has a difficult time reading and writing. What used to take minutes now takes hours.
As an AT Advocate, I of course tried to think of some technology that might help him communicate. I thought of special software such as Dragon Naturally Speaking. However, he was using a Mac laptop and that was not going to be as good. He also had numerous older PCs in various states of disrepair. Underpowered. But more obvious to me as I considered his option was the fact that Dragon was not going to be good enough. He could express himself well enough so that I could figure out what he was getting at, but Dragon was not going to be THAT intuitive. It became obvious that the best AT Solution was going to be a live human being.

I started to think of all the people I knew, both professionally and also privately. I had recently met a nice couple who were interested in helping, and so I arranged a meeting. Again we went through a lengthy overview of all the various projects he had been involved with and was trying to develop. The husband had a lot of experience with Solidworks, a CAD drawing program. I thought this was a good background since he had been involved in a lot of high tech products. The wife had been involved in medical drug and equipment sales. Although they were both interested in helping, they did not want to take on the responsibility due to other commitments they had made. They were thoughtful and also tried to think of friends and neighbors who might be looking for something interesting to do.

At work we have a coordinator whose main job is to find healthcare workers for nursing duty. She could not think of anyone who would be so specialized. Next, I went around my office and tried to interest the spouses of various co-workers who often volunteered and were of retirement age and also had some technical experience.

Finally, having tried all the logical “left brain” ideas I could think of to solve this dilemma, I turned the whole affair over to my Higher Self. I described what type of person I thought would be ideal, and then asked for spiritual assistance. I figured that I could let it go at that point and try not to worry or make such an effort. I simply got an idea of what might work and turned it over for Divine assistance. I do this very informally, almost subconsciously. I figured that it would be like finding the proverbial “needle in the haystack.” My client needed someone who was ideally between jobs, but very technical and most of all willing to help a disabled man who could not afford to pay for help. I described this ideal situation and then let it go. That was a few weeks ago.

Earlier this past week, an interesting thing happened. At work we got a “volunteer” who was working to assist with answering the phones, etc. Because we have had so many such volunteers lately, I didn’t pay much attention to him. Then about midweek I overheard him talking to one of our employees about computer related things and I noticed that he was extremely knowledgeable. After 20 minutes or so I could no longer ignore the conversation so I went over to them and dipped into the conversation. One thing led to another and I discovered that he had quite a high tech background.

The following day I discovered him showing You Tube videos of VERY high tech rockets going off and found out that he had something to do with DOD projects in the past. It was then that the inner Bell rang inside my head, and I thought “maybe this guy could work with my client that I had prayed for and be his business manager, etc.” Upon further questioning I discovered that the volunteer was inbetween jobs and had a fabulous resume in government defense related companies. Because he seemed to be a perfect fit, I wasted no time in making a suggestion that he should meet my client.

The next day we met at 2pm and after 90 minutes or so I was convinced that they might hit it off, so I left. Around 9pm the volunteer called me and filled me in. My client had been working furiously to try to conclude a contract with a major tool company. I had known about the project and to me it looked like it was going nowhere – mainly because of his language difficulties. However, just before I left, the volunteer had offered to remain there till 5pm to meet with the company representatives of the tool company. Synchronicity! Evidently that meeting went well. And today he is back there working to write everything up!

In other words he just jumped right in! And it looks as though he will be assisting until he gets another job, or who knows? Maybe they will become partners!

An interesting side note to this story is the fact that the volunteer would not have been available except for the fact that he had been arrested for one of those “Hollywood Rolling Stops” and was doing community service instead of paying the fine. God works in mysterious ways!

That’s my story about the power of prayer in business. It also tells me that sometimes an assistive technology solution may be a real human being!

Cancer Therapies That Work

An acquaintance of mine recently let me know that he had cancer of the lung. He has tried all the standard treatments and so I went to work researching alternatives. I asked myself, “What would I do if I had this type of cancer?” The first thing I did was to visit Bill Henderson’s website. Bill Henderson says on the first page of his website: “Typical causes include root canal teeth (most cancers), emotional trauma and/or long term stress and poor diets.”

In my own case I think that the removal of a bad root canal was the key to my cure, as I feel it was the root cause. I used coral calcium to clean up the blood. Simple! But most people have more than one root canal and will not consider that these could be causing them to be sick. Other causes could be an infection of the gums or a crown.

There’s a good book I recommend by Dr. George Meinig, Root Canal Cover-Up, which my brother suggested and I read back in 2000. It was very enlightening. It revives the older research of Dr. Weston Price on the reasons root canals should be avoided. Dr. George Meinig, D.D.S., F.A.C.D. is a Founder of the Association of Root Canal Specialists.  Learn how Dr. Meinig discovered that a meticulous 25 year research program, conducted by Weston A. Price, DDS, under the auspices of the American Dental Association’s Research Institute was buried and forgotten.

A Valentine’s Day Healing Gift of Love

Someone recently emailed me with a link to Martin Brofman’s wonderful website on healing. The article is located at: http://www.healer.ch/transformarticle.html. After reading the excellent article, which covers all the basis’ of spiritual healing, I perused a few of his other fine articles. Good stuff! I highly recommend his site! I also have a number of his healing meditation CDs.

I feel that Brofman is correct. One has to move from a fear-based reality to one of love and forgiveness. In my healing process I think I did pretty much what he suggests, except I found my own way. I ate what I normally ate and drank. Sure I tried many different foods, herbs, etc. However, ultimately I did not give up all the “goodies,” such things as alcohol or chocolate or other foods I enjoyed. I did adopt an attitude that I would heal and get well despite the prognosis.

After some time I realized that I was too sedentary so I went out and got a fairly physical job where I was on my feet all day – working at Kinkos. I did this for one year. I refused to get SSI or SSDI which was offered because I realized that once I went down the road of public assistance, it would be an acknowledgment that I was really ill and disabled, and that I might never recover.

As I read more of the articles on Brofman’s website today, I came across one about healing AIDS that I especially liked. I never had AIDS, yet I did have an interest in it because of people I knew who contracted it. (Article: http://www.healer.ch/aidsarticle.html)

Many years ago I produced a documentary about a man from Milwaukee who had healed himself of AIDS. This was back when AIDS first became public, and it was very scary! I lived in Chicago and my wife at the time ran a travel agency on the North Side. One of her agents was a gay man. He was quite cheerful, robust and very active. Then one day he came down with the dreaded disease – AIDS.

I am not kidding when I tell you that he was dead within about six weeks! I think it was from the fear more than anything else. That got me interested in the topic of healing. I read a lot of material about AIDS. I even went to some conferences put on by drug companies to hype their concoctions.

Shortly thereafter I was introduced to the Milwaukee man with AIDS through a friend who was a healer. She took me along to meet him on her first visit. I think this was because he lived in a seedy section of town and she wanted to feel safe. After meeting him, I left her with him so she could do her work, and then came back later. He had already started a regimen of meditations and affirmation. And that along with a few visits from my healer friend turned the corner for him.

I shot the film, conducted long interviews with him and his partner to try to determine why he got well when so many other people with AIDS were dying all around. I edited a rough cut of the film and then, sadly, I never completed the documentary, and it has never been seen by the public. To the best of my knowledge, he was healed of AIDS and still is. (I checked the phone book and his name is still listed.)

I called the film, “The Miracle of Orange”, because while I was there shooting, he showed my a bed of flowers he had planted that were all supposed to be purple, however one came up orange and blossomed while I was there doing the shoot. The thing that made this so remarkable was that for many months for some reason he had been visualizing the color orange every day in his meditations. I guess he intuitively felt that orange was the correct healing color for him. He felt the color orange in the appropriate root level chakra connected to sexuality, and it helped him heal the guilt he felt from having had such a rough life – 30 foster homes and a family that rejected him – as well as being gay. So he used the color orange to heal himself! Very cool. And my friend helped him release quite a bit of the pent up emotions around abandonment as well as the guilt. But more than anything, my subject learned to love himself in a world where up to that point no one had loved him. That’s the power of Self-Love!

If you need healing, I highly recommend using the Brofman materials! But more than that, intuitively use whatever seems right for you because you are your own best doctor!

CLL Letter From a Reader & My Response

Today I received the following email from a reader. I thought it was worth publishing; especially my response!

Dear Steve,

I recently picked up a copy of ‘Natures Pathway” which featured an article regarding your diagnosis and battle with CLL. I read it with interest as I too was diagnosed with CLL. Got my diagnosis in 1995 at age 50. I had 7 lymph nodes removed from my neck. After a bone marrow test it was determined that no further action would be taken at that time. The Oncologist said “no chemo” and said that he would take a watch and see approach, seeing him every 3 months then every, then 4 then 6. My wife and I began being as proactive as we could, investigating what might be possible root causes of CLL and what, if anything might either slow it’s progress or be a cure. Time after time everything we read said, that chemicals were at the root of many cancers, particularly blood cancers. Suggestions were to keep one’s environment as clean and chemical free as possible. We have progressed to eating only Certified Organic food and drink, drink only reverse osmosis water and take a regimen of anti-oxidents. I make ‘Essiac Tea’ and drink that 3 times a day as well and try to exercise daily as well as meditate. I quit my very stressful job and went to one that is slower paced too. Meanwhile  my levels continue to climb at a slow but still steady, pace. When my Oncologist has asked, “What are you doing to stay so healthy.”  He interrupted my reply in mid-sentence to tell me that nothing but something from a drug company would do any good.

After I read your story I was encouraged that the path that we have chosen is in deed the right one to follow.  I am writing to ask how you are doing at this time? You said that you no longer take the Coral Calcium, congratulations!  I am also interested, of course in finding out where you got your Coral Calcium (after checking on line I found that there are many brands and price points to choose from). What kind of dosage did you follow? What other changes did you make in your life that might have enhanced your immune system and ultimately assisted in what you have called a ‘cure’.

Hope that your health continues to improve and to tell you I too enjoy thumbing my nose at the medical establishment. We really do need to be our own advocate as well as our own physician.

My health has been excellent for the past 7 years. And I must say that while I do try to eat “healthy” I also do not obsess about it. If I don’t eat perfectly or organically, or if I drink too much once in a while, I don’t think it’s going to matter all that much.

About 7 years ago I started a new job where I got free healthcare at the Kaiser HMO. I was able to see the chief oncologist to get checked out. However, before I could get an appointment with her I had to convince them that I had been diagnosed with CLL. The regular doctor did not believe me, but I kept on trying until I finally got an appointment.  Once they reviewed my records transferred over from the County Hospital, I guess they started to believe. By this time my blood reports had improved to the point that one would never know I had had CLL. Then the chief oncologist ordered up a battery of tests and also had me go through a full body CT Scan. I guess she wanted a baseline in case the CLL re-emerged. The scan revealed nothing unusual such as a swollen spleen, etc. So far, after 7 or 8 years my blood levels have remained steady and have even improved. I don’t go in for regular tests anymore and I don’t see the oncologist. I try to stay away from the HMO except in some dire emergency.

As for the Coral Calcium. I tried numerous things before this, but nothing helped. Lots of different herbs and such. During the early days of starting a cure that worked, I would usually take 3 – 6 sachets of Ericsson’s Alka-Mine Coral Calcium per day. I would dissolve 3 or so in a liter of water and drink the water. I would make sure I had a lot of the water to help alkalize my system. Kingsway, the distributor of Ericsson’s, is sadly gone – I think they were shut down by the FDA which does not like people to claim cures for cancer and such unless approved by the federal drug lobby (FDA). However, I think that the founders of Kingsway may be ready to start up again. I will try to contact them to see what the story is. Meanwhile do not be afraid to try another leading brand if you feel so guided.

The only other thing that I believe helped me was playing attention to the health of my teeth. As I said in the article, I had my single root canal removed. There is still a hole in that spot to this day.

If you really read Dr. George Meinig and the works of Dr. Weston Price, I think you will agree that infections in the mouth can be devastating to one’s health. And it can affect you in different ways depending upon which tooth in infected as the noxious infection can travel silently and painlessly along meridian pathways to affect specific parts of the body. Many people never notice until later on in their life after the overload of toxins has compromised their immune system to the point that it stresses out the body and then any seemingly small problem can tip the scales leading towards a major health issue.

You said that you read that, “chemicals were at the root of many cancers, particularly blood cancers.”  I might agree with this but I would add that toxins caused by anerobic tooth infection might also be considered.

Weston Price: Dr Price wrote up his findings, along with many pictures that show the striking contrasts between healthy individuals and those just one generation away from their roots, in his book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration. Later he published his research on root canals and the extensive problems associated with them in Oral & Systemic and Dental Infections & the Degenerative Diseases.

Please do not overlook the health of your mouth. This is the one area most people do not want to even consider unless they are experiencing dire pain. You can be infected and have little or no pain. Also, I would perhaps either ignore your doctor or get a different one.  I was lucky enough to have  4 – a revolving door of doctors including one  fresh from Sloan-Kettering.  But most weren’t on the case long enough to muck it up!
